[Harp-L] Re: Masco Harp Amp Models

I like the ME18 PA head. The MA17 is similar in circuit design (at
least two MA17 circuit variations, +/- choke and loctal vs octal
preamps) to the ME18 and highly regarded. I built an amp based on the
MA17 that sounds killer, but I have not tried a genuine one. I like
the ME18 over the higher power heads. I favor a 2 x10 cab open back
with my ME18.
I also like the MU17 combo 1x12, which has both triode and pentode
first gain stage channels. The original speaker in the MU17 should
be replaced. The nifty looking fuzzy logo grill screen can rattle,
and the MU17 sounds better when this is replaced by grill cloth.
