[Harp-L] New to Octave and Delay pedals

I just got a MicroPog octave pedal for my birthday - never used one, but have wanted one for a long time.ÂRight now I only use a Lone Wold Delay pedal from the mic to my HarpGear Double Trouble. What's the consensus on which pedal should go first in the chain if you only have two pedals - octave and delay? My first impressions are thatÂI wouldÂwant to delay the wet octave signal and not octave split the delay signal, but what do you all think?

Messin' around with the wet/dry mix and the sub/high octave mix on the MicroPog, what sounds best to me in general is a fairly heavy dry mix setting with just a bit of low and high - just fattens it up without it getting too techno sounding. I actually thought iÂcouldÂuse itÂbest to add more suboctave to higher DEF harps and high octave to low harps, but that's not what my ear tells me - a bit of high octave adds thickness to an F harp while suboctave does the same thing to a low F# harp.ÂI guess that makes sense.

Any one want to weigh in on the octave pedal - don't want to get too gimmicky with the sound - when do you all use it?

Thanks in advance!
