Subject: Re: [Harp-L] What other instruments do you play?

Arnold, I also fairly recently acquired a flute (have always loved flute
music - Nicholas Gunn comes to mind), and am struggling a bit with
it....although most of the book/cd combos I've bought to study for the flute sound
wonderful on a 16 hole chromatic. Their sound blends beautifully......as
well as struggling with my new saxophone and clarinet :)

SmoJoe just helped me set up the latter two: he's proficient in several
saxophones, clarinet, trumpet, etc, but is way too modest about his abilities.
I have an old cassette of his where he plays all of these instruments.
It's good enough to be a CD.

I sing (but not in public) and play piano and keyboard as well. Am also
working on 'doubling'...with chromatic and keyboard at the same time - since
I'm improv-ing - making up some interesting music on the keyboard so I can
have it as backing for my chromatic play. One of these days....

I just started learning flute, quite hard though. Unfortunately, harmonica
n
flutes can't be played simultaneously. Anybody has the same "double"
combination as me (i.e. harmonicas n flutes)?
