Very sad!
I was fortunate to meet him at the Kerrville Folk Festival workshop last
summer.
An incredible performer and teacher, but what I remember most was a
conversation we had at lunch one day about how fortunate we are to be alive.
I'm glad he knew that, shared that and I'll do my best never to forget that!

I have just learned that Norton lost his battle with lung cancer, which had
also spread to his brain, and was complicated by pneumonia. He passed away
today at 3pm.
Norton was a great friend, and will be sorely missed.
