[Harp-L] Re: Harp-L Digest, Vol 80, Issue 36

We had a fine SF Bay Harpers 2nd anniversary jam ... we had everything from
a first-time jammer (Paul Meredith of Pleasant Hill) to T.K., a visitor all
the way from Tokyo who was Paul Pallizolo's guest and a great harper and
singer. Great work by Gino the Bambino, Charlie Saavedra, Paul and T.K.,
Winslow Yerxa and trio, Beth Kohnen, Mark Irwin and Roger Brown (guitar),
and of course, Fenny (Mark Fenichel) who was joined for his set by vocalist
Freddie Floyd, who came all the way from Pacifica. They'd never played
together before and sounded great!

Special kudos again to the House Band, this time featuring Kelly Back on
guitar, Tony Odello on drums, Tod Dauer on keys and Kennan Shaw on bass (and
doing a great job of subbing for Danny White in hauling in and setting up
the back line of harp and guitar amps.

We had cupcakes (easier to deal with than cake) and three door prize
winners, too. Thanks again to Danny and his Good Stuff Guitar Shop in
Martinez and to Roy Jeans, Eloise and all the crew at Armando's!

Oh, and I almost forgot to thank my own Awed Ducks crew for opening the
show: Peter Sproul on harp and vocals; Jim Brunelle on bass and vocals, and
John Gallagher on Dobro. Great job, guys!

We'll do it again on July 21! I should also mention that Armando's blues jam
will be n Monday, April 26, 7-10 p.m. It's at 707 Marina Vista, Martinez,
CA, and a good chance to get in some licks if you're in the area and/or
missed our jam last night.

Cheers, Bob Loomis
