[Harp-L] Re: Stevie Wonder known as a harmonica player?

Someone expressed some sort of skepticism that the general public knows Stevie as a harmonica player? According to Wikipedia, Stevie was the first recording artist to simultaneously have a #1 lp on both the Pop and R&B charts simultaneously with a #1 single. The lp was "The 12 Year Old Genius", the single was the live "Fingertips". Since Fingertips is pretty much a harmonica showcase I don't think you can say he's not famous as a harmonica player. His fame started with the harmonica on Fingertips and of course continued with many other harmonica hits, including "Hey Harmonica Man", "I Was Made to Love Her", and "For Once in My Life". (Okay maybe "Hey Harmonica Man" wasn't a huge hit, but it did get airplay on Top 40 radio. I've got an aircheck from KHJ Boss Radio in 1966 to prove it!)
