Thanks guys. Arthur and Doug, I agree that it is a combination of
tuning and pressure that makes the two notes beat against each other.
I get them to beat only after applying quite a bit of extra pressure
or increased volume of air to the reeds in question.  Piazza and
Clarke sure make it look easy. Such a cool sound.  I think Piazza and
Clarke really took this to the next level after learning it from
George Smith.
