[Harp-L] Re: Where to buy? Coast to Coast Music!

To really emphasize how good the Coast2coastmusic's service is, I'd like to say that even in a very difficult situations like mine one gets the best service possible in the shortest time:

In my country the banks suddenly decided to 'protect' their customers and imposed a purchase limit of some 50 US dollars - in reality they fight for higher liquidity these days due to crises - and it's usually done without the customer's knowledge.

So, whenever a person places an online order exceeding 50 dollars - which for the non-US country is the norm (only shipping cost is about $40-50) - the problems begin. This is the mechanics and procedure:
- I place the order
       - C2C runs my card info without success because there is a 50-dollar limit, so they get - "attempt declined"
                 - in my bank - the whole order amount is blocked/reserved and immediately moves from my account to a intermediary place somewhere between my account and C2C
                         - I call to the bank to take off the limit for a day (possible only for 24 hrs) and when C2C runs my card again - boom - "attempt declined"
                                - I call to the bank and they say that C2C has to release the reserved amount, which is not possible for the C2C as they are not a banking institution and therefore don't have access to all the banking bells and whistles
                                   - And a decline message appears just because the reserved amount is not on the account anymore - it's somewhere in the middle and will be automatically unblocked only in a 30-day period of time - and the new amount should be present on account instead - just imagine the order amount of 300 US dollars, once it is reserved/blocked in the system, I have to put another $300 involving $600 for the simple transaction in a third country, I mean it's a huge sum of money given the local conditions. And I need the order to be shipped as soon as possible.

- THE ONLY SOLUTION to release the money in just one day time is to have a written confirmation from Coast2Coastmusic sent to the bank overseas stating that C2C is not going to charge my card anymore and that the transaction is cancelled. It sounds logical, but quite difficult to implement given the time difference of 7 hrs and general perception of how the business should be run. I personally think that the bank has to do all the service especially in case of introduction of such a 50-dollar limit without me knowing about it in the first place.

So when I approached John to help me out, the written confirmation has been sent out the next day and that's given the fact that he was out of office and probably in some other state. Needless to say that I was able to release the blocked money the next day and I placed the new order again. And you know what, it usually takes up to 2 weeks to get the parcel from the U.S., and this time I got it in 5 days which means that C2C processed my order quite fast probably knowing all my troubles and they put it as a priority. I've been a C2Cmusic's customer for some 10 years now and I used to buy from different online stores (sometimes waiting from half a year and then returning the stuff back due to mistakes, etc.) - and I HAVE NO OTHER RETAILER TO PUT ON TOP 1 IN THE HARMONICA WORLD BUT .... C2CMUSIC. And as usual, I'm just a happy customer.
