Re: [Harp-L] Harp tuning...

A-440 is the industry standard for orchestras and pianos in the US. A-442 has become a new standard for orchestras and pianos in Europe.

Harmonica tuned to A-440 may sound a little flat when played against other A-440 instruments due to the fact that strong inhale notes will place themselves a little on the flat side. Most manufacturers will tune their harmonica to A-442.

A little experimentation on your part will help you decide what works best for your style of playing.

Subject: [Harp-L] Harp tuning...

I'm just starting to learn harp tuning, and am a little confused as to what the
A4 frequency should be... 440, 442, 443, or what ever... I would appreciate any
advise...
Aloha
