[Harp-L] pew harmonica player plays pop tunes

It seems my 'cynical absurbist' sense of humour does not translate well out there in HarpL-land.
My flippant jesting comment was not intended to be 'mean', it was just a impulsive response to Randy Singletons lightly humourous 'gentlemany' comment. The You Tube rock and rollin' gents performing ... is what it is... Truely 'All power to anyone who's out there having a go' or just knocking out some tunes around the fireside, however I'm free to have an opinion or joke on tasteful playing in this age of the 'human jukebox' [which I must say has just about killed off musical inovation in many a venue].If Kareoke harmonica 'turns people on' ...fine, I couldn't care less, on occasion I am asked to play in a covers band playing the 'usual suspects' .I make electronic tracks with a producer and play in a crazy garage rock outfit. You may have noticed that I attached a helpful link to help anyone who wants to play songs by rout, with good clear tabs.I've been teaching adults and children for 25 years [and I can tell you some so-called players really do need ' one to one' lessons].We're in an age when more help than ever is available on the net of cause, but also never so many enthusiasts and conventioneer experts have roamed the net. I am not holding myself up as the 'bees knees' either, my comment was intended as a joke about content not a personal attack. Anyway, quite frankly I think this is'much to do about nothing' [yet again] and seems to have been taken much too seriously. I'm sorry for any offence caused, it was totally unintended and written as I headed out the door to go and play some Sat. night Public Enemy melodies.
