Re: [Harp-L] Cost for lessons?

I charge 30 UK pounds / hour here in London (that includes some time outside of the lesson time (emails etc) and my travelling to the student if it's less than an hour round trip).

My "level?"

I get paid to play some good gigs (sometimes!) but I don't consider myself to be a top-level pro (either in ability or in reputation!). I do, however, come from a long education background (thousands of hours tutoring / coaching / mentoring all kinds of things).

Also...

I know one top-level classical musician who charges something like 60 UK pounds / hour.

Er...

Hope that's of some use to the person who asked the question?

2 or 3 years ago (Back in England) I charged £30 GBP (About $40.00  USD) an
hour for lessons...
It seems to me that most "pro" musicians mostly make their money to "pay
the rent" by teaching.
