Re: [Harp-L] West Coast Jazz Harmonica Summit on Youtube

Thanks Richard!

There are more sample cuts to be posted over the coming weeks, still have more video editing to do. I'm posting about 1/3rd of the overall content on YouTube (it was a four hour gig with two very short breaks). The compilation DVD will be released some time this summer and I'm also planning a special-order "unabridged" version (most likely a 2 DVD set) for those who really want to see the whole gig.

Thanks for mentioning the audio, that took the most effort as this was recorded multitrack and, well, anyone who has labored over mixing down 3.5 hours of a 24 track mix will know what I'm talking about ;-). And by the way, it sounds a whole lot better when it hasn't been squashed by the YouTube compression.

Overall, this is the most fun project I've ever worked on!

I'm behind in my listening, so it was fun tonight to follow the links from the Michael Polesky video on Youtube to Slim Heilpern's channel, where there are a number of performance videos from the West Coast Jazz Harmonica Summit. Nice to have so many fine performances recorded so well to video, and with great audio too. In case anyone hasn't posted the URL for Slim's channel in the last five minutes, it's
