[Harp-L] Radio Station WUMB in Boston Area

I recently moved back to the greater Boston area. WUMB is the only all folk
music radio station in the country. It is an NPR station. It seems that
every other song I hear on this station has harp in it. We have it on 24/7
in my house. The harmonica it seems is really becoming a staple instrument
in the contemporary folk scene. Just this morning I heard Grant Dormandy &
Phil Wiggins tunes. Both friends I made by way of SPAH conventions. I have
heard many other "names" and a lot more unknowns that were breathing some
heavy tones through the reeds on this radio station. Now that I am doing
another folk duo gig this is a great resource for me to connect to the New
England folk scene and be inspired! www.wumb.org

Blues is folk and folk is blues. Don't need a 1-4-5 to use what you got!
It's fun to close your eyes, open your ears and help paint pictures with
your breath. A very different mindset from the fill the dance floor /
straight blues thang.
