Re: [Harp-L] mic for acoustic playing

I love my Fireball for acoustic playing. Not so good for vocals. If I do both, I use my Shure 58.

Best wishes.

I use the Fireball V in your exact situation and love it. I don't know
about the Shure since I have never used it, but the Fireball V will be hard
to beat IMHO.

Subject: [Harp-L] mic for acoustic playing

Quick question: when i occasionly play out it is with a mic stand through
the P.A. Mostly old timey stuff and i need a new mic. Fireball V or a Shure
57 or 58 ? Overall ruggedness and tonal characteristics for this type of
music are the main considerations. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
