Re: [Harp-L] Aiwa DM 21 microphone

Martin,

I'm not sure what "looks like a harp mic" would mean exactly, but I have an Aiwa crystal or ceramic element (about 1 3/8" dia.) in a JT30 shell that sounds pretty good, strong signal. I have no idea what model mic it came from, because it came to me in a Shure private label brown bullet. I think some of those japanese made crystal elements from the sixties sound pretty good, I have a couple of Calrad crystal elements that I like real well, and they have been durable, so far. JD

On a local site I see there´s an Aiwa DM 21 microphone for sale. It´s rather cheap and it "looks" like a harp mic. But that´s not saying much.
Anybody with any general impressions of Aiwa mics, from the 60´s, as I believe this one is?
Cheers,
Martin
