Fw: [Harp-L] Which Delay Pedal To Buy?

Just that with the Lone Wolf, it largely just adds the wet effect, without
adding any drive to the sound (the DD2/DD3 does fatten up the mids some), any
pedal I have tried changes the dry tone a little, that's to be expected, but the
Lone Wolf seems to do it the least (of the pedals that I have tried anyway).

But bear in mind that some guys actually prefer a little softening of the tone
from a pedal, I'm not one of them and I always try out the amp straight in, have
a listen, then put the effect in line (not just switch it on/off) & have another
listen.

Thanks Mark...used a dd3 for years...or was it a dd2? this was in the mid 80's.
as you say, so many opinions, and they just keep comin in. I'll get there!!!

What do you mean by the LW being transparent uncolored?

Thanks,

Ask a dozen guys and all that...:-)

...but my 2 favourites are the DD3 and the Lone Wolf, DD3 has a heavier mid
sound, The Lone Wolf is more transparent uncoloured.

If you can find one a Yamaha DG Stomp is pretty cool too, you can run it with
all patches disengaged (manual mode) & have Delay/Tape Echo and or
Spring/Hall/Plate Reverb...plus tone controls on the wet effect. A lot of guys
will prefer the simplicity of the first 2.

After much Internet research, blogs, websites, harp forums, I'm torn between
getting a LoneWolf Delay or a BBE Two Timer. I'm currently using an SJ Cruncher
and a CR or CM mic. (Crystals here in hawaii are too vunerable to moisture I
find)

They are both about the same cost. I've seen most of the YouTube clips on these
two products, plus read comparisons and such on Adam G's site. Just looking for
some more input and opinions on the L before I make a decision.

The Dan Echo I had robs allot of the bottom end and changes the tone too much...
and I dont want to have it tweaked...Id rather put the $ into a ready to use
device.

I don't play allot of fast notes, more old school I guess, no ob's on lower
notes, etc.

>From what I can gather, they both seem like good pedals for harp delay with true
>by pass input.

Any opinions are most welcome...and I Thank You in advance!
