Passing along news about Little Sammy Davis, for those who might want to 
send a card or visit. His friend Fred Scribner writes:

Hi Ben, i'm sorry to tell you Sammy is in a nursing home in orange 
county,ny after suffering a second stroke that left him paralyzed on his 
entire right side.We were the opening act up at Levon Helm's "Midnight 
Ramble" every saturday untill this all happened .Sammy has a good long 
term memory but his short term is pretty bad these days and loves 
getting visitors..as for traveling...not too likley i'm sorry to 
say...he's at Park Manor in middletown,ny if you want to call just ask 
them to put you thru to his room.
