That is what the article is stating.  However, if you read the article they are 
referencing (Enhancing Perceptual Learning by Combining Practice with Periods of 
Additional Sensory Stimulation by Wright et al. (2010)), Wright and her 
colleagues also state that additional learning was found to best enhance the 
learning prior to practice.  As a side note Wright's article used tone 
discrimination as the target with audio discrimination as the learning object 
and written stimuli and as the supplementary learning.

I will also say I read Wright's article rather quickly, but it was an 
interesting read nonetheless.

The author is not very specific about what "periods of additional stimuli
exposure" are.  Does it mean that my practicing, then watching YouTube vids
of harp players and practicing again is a very effective regimen?
