International Harmonica Convention Hits the Beach in Virginia!

Virginia Beach, VA / PRBuzz / April 29, 2011 – Many of the finest harmonica
players in the world will be meeting at the Holiday Inn, Virginia
Beach-Norfolk Hotel Conference Center as the Society for the Preservation
and Advancement of the Harmonica (SPAH) holds its 48th Anniversary
Convention from Tuesday August 9th thru Saturday, August 13th , 2011.

Confirmed headline performers include:  Buddy Greene, bringing soulful
harmonica with a revival meeting feel, Robert Bonfiglio, international
classical virtuoso,  blues/swing masters Dennis Gruenling and Steve
Guyger, Grammy
award winner Peter “Madcat” Ruth,  Harmonicamento, a harmonica quintet from
Germany's Black Forest, Buzz Krantz, the Santa Claus of the blues, Winslow
Yerxa and Tuula Cotter, intertwining harmonica and violin in music from the
far north,  Pat Bergeson, a country gentleman from Nashville, Stan Harper,
legendary master of the chromatic harmonica and the fabulous Sgro Brothers,
playing timeless favorites.

This five day harmonica party is not reserved for the elite. In fact it is
the “everyday” harmonica lover that makes these annual events so special.
Besides the daily concerts the week is filled with seminars, workshops and
jam sessions.
