re: [Harp-L] Blu-Tack and Solder WAS: Optimized Blues Tuning

Robert, anything sticky enough will work - a dot made with a white-out pen, or a white-out brush, a tiny piece of skotch tape, a piece of adhesive vinyl, all are reversible methods. white out, once it dries can be scraped off in tiny amounts to fine tune the reed. I do it with a sharp razor blade, the whole "dot" stays without flaking off, only the tiny piece that the blade affected. Remember, the whole thing is done on super small scale, watch out for not bleeding whiteout into the reed slot. Tape and vinyl can be fine-tuned in the same manner - stick it on, then subtract the needed weight(tiny slivers), with a razor blade, while supporting the reed from its underside.
