Me too, regarding tuning the wrong reed.  There might not be a God, but for 
sure there is a Murphy.

It means one of 2 things, the reed is cracked and on its way out or
you're tuning the wrong reed.  You may laugh at the suggestion, it has
happened to me.  fjm
