[Harp-L] In Ear Monitor Setup

I'm using (pricey) M-Audio IE-30 in-ears w/ my Digitech RP 70 amp emulator. I connected an in-line headphone volume control (Radion Shack) at the earphone jack to control the in-ear signal. I use a headphone extension cable zip-tied to my mic cable and attached at the waist - in-ear cable runs down my back and connects to extension cable. I chose to put the $$ into the in-ears instead of a pricey wireless system.
Noise levels as low as 85-90 db can cause hearing loss - your ear doesn't differentiate between music and noise.

Positives: the in-ears provided 25 dB of noise attenuation - loud band volume still comes thru but at much reduced volume.
Negatives:DO NOT drop the in-ears on a concrete floor - I found out the 'hard' way. Harp comes thru loud and clear so you can easily hear all your mistakes
