Re: [Harp-L] RE: New Jersey now musicians from your state

How about Detroit?

Seger, MC5, The Stooges, and about 1/2 of the jazz greats from the 40's, 50's

Yeah, we Tulsans are particularly proud of Mr. Cale and his sometimes
sidekick Rocky Frisco. We are proud of our "Tulsa Sound" which is a fusion
of country, western swing, jazz and pop. You have to hear it to understand
it but Cale is a prime example. A lot of musical influences and high
quality musicians come through the crossroads here. Leon Russell used to
drive around town in a white Rolls. There is a local legend that Russell
and Eric Clapton (who was supposedly in town visiting him) popped into a
kind of dubious local place one night and conducted the dream jam session of
a generation.
