[Harp-L] Re: Simple Sanitizing For Used Harps



Haven't been here for a while, just saw this sanitizing post.
 
Apologies if already mentioned:  If it is an old chromatic  with a wood 
comb don't fully disassemble it, if you remove both reed plates  the wood comb 
is likely to warp & become leaky/unplayable.  Remove  one reed plate, clean 
it, clean the comb best possible, replace the reed plate  & then do the 
other half.  I don't know if the same applies for other  large wood harps such 
as a tremelo, bass or chord but it seems likely.
