[Harp-L] Doheny Blues Festival

great weekend at the Doheny Blues Festival - Charlie Musselwhite sat in with
Big Head Todd and the Monsters for the 100 years of Robert Johnson segment.
Hadn't seen him live in years - he was great, lots of beautiful, musical,
tasty playing in different positions, and when he returned to 2nd position
for a straight ahead boogie, the crowd flipped out. also, got to give props
to 'Tex' Nakamura with The 44's, really fine TB harp, had to go talk to him
for a minute after - cool guy, really a great sound...think both Walters and
a ton of soul.

lots of great music, but not harp related - so keep it short, Susan Tedeschi
and Derek Trucks - Hallelujah! every year this festival draws great blues
act - check it out if you are ever in the OC in May. fantastic crowd vibe,
right next to the beach, always a treat.
