Subject: Re: [Harp-L] GSHC Festival

Thank you, George!

Val just called and has already explained that she never received any
private emails which ever went unanswered. This has never been her practice,
most especially as it relates to the Garden State Festival. Busy or not, Val
Redler answers her mail.

Since she and Phil have been without power now for FOUR (4) days since the
NorthEast storm and have been working diligently on finalizing the last
details of the Festival by candlelight - charging their cellphones in their
cars while running back and forth to the Hotel, she asked me to inform the
list that there are still changes being made to the schedule due to the
illness of a couple of the participants.

Happily, Michael Polesky will be coming in from the West Coast with his
family and participating in the Jazz happenings. Those of us who know and love
Michael have also long since fallen in love with his wife and little girl
as well. It'll be a thrill to get to see them in New Jersey. David
'Jazzmaan' Fairweather (Michael's great friend) will be coming along as well - so
it's a perfect opportunity for him to take over a slot vacated by another
scheduled performer's illness: Jazzmaan will give his 'An Introduction to
Four-Key Tuning' on Thursday.

Despite the Hotel being full right now with folks staying there to warm up
while their homes are without power, all's well and under control for the
Festival. Val & Phil stayed at the Ramada last night, declared the food good
and the rooms perfect for our needs. We're ready for another 'all
harmonica, all the time' fabulous convention.

For those coming in early, remember that Enrico Granafei's Club Trumpets'
Pre-Festival Harmonica Blow-Off begins at 7:30p.m. Wednesday. Directions to
Trumpets are in the links contained for the Festival at:
_www.gardenstateharmonicaclub.org_ (http://www.gardenstateharmonicaclub.org/)

Close to the top of the page is a link taking you directly INTO Trumpet's
site and from there a menu with directions from all points.

...with all that Enrico and Kristine do to support the Garden State
Festival, they deserve some support back. If you live in the general area, do
yourselves a favour and go out to hear some great Live music at Trumpets in
Montclair, New Jersey. Great atmosphere, congenial hosts, good food with
wonderful music and performers on a continuing basis.
