A few weeks ago we had our Garden State Harmonica Festival in Hanover, NJ
and Michael came with his wife & daughter with his good friend David
"Jazmaan" Fairweather all the way from Los Angeles. At Trumpets Jazz Club
Michael told me he was dying of Cancer and wanted to make one more harmonica
event...I was so devasted by this news...
On the Sat Nite show after Bucky Pizzarelli and Enrico Granafei played I was
to close the show. I knew I would never see Michael again after that night
so I asked David if he would join me with Michael on stage....You were a
loving friend and family man Mike...I miss you already.......thank you for
your soulfulness....til we meet again,,,,,goodbye my friend.
