RE: [Harp-L] Re: Harp Amp Option for IBC in Memphis

Hi Bobby,

It'll be good to see you down at the IBC again--hope our paths cross. This year I'll be in the solo/duo competition again, this time with a different musical partner. I've decided to bring my little HarpGear HG2--I'm attached to the tone I get from it and, since the IBC lets us bring harp amps, I'm going to suffer the hassle of lugging it around. My act this year also involves me playing foot percussion--including a little bass drum and a foot-operated snare--so I've got a bunch of stuff to carry. Since I'm already loaded down with stuff the amp didn't seem like much to add. I need a roadie, though!

We'll be in different venues, for sure, since we'll be in different categories. But good luck at the IBC and I'll keep an eye out out for your black hat on Beale!

See you,

John

The pocket pod is very small. Out of the box the patches do need some tweaking for harp, especially the gain. There is a free download so you can edit on a PC. I am about to get a Zoom G3, which also gets very good reviews.
