[Harp-L] cover plate shaping: (Opening Cover Plates)

Tim Moyer, (and any other harp techs) - how would you shape the cover
plates for the 1 draw reed clearance, (if necessary)?

Would you pretty much smash a nice dent in the draw side lid with a ball
peen hammer, like me, or use a more elegant approach? =)

By the way - I've seen Filisko sort of torque the MB cover plates so
that it more comfortably accomodates the left hand grip, and the shape
likely allows for great reed clearance. Have you developed any methods
to cover plate shaping, other than opening up the back-end, that you'd
like to share?

Thanks.
